With the upcoming launch of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme for Research and Innovation, we would like to invite you to take part in the First of a series of focused workshops.

This session will examine the opportunities which Horizon 2020’s first Call for Proposals will offer Scotland in the area of competitive, ‘Blue Growth’.

The workshop aims to provide an open forum, where you can present your project ideas, discuss with other attendees and the Scottish support teams the next steps you can take to develop your proposal.

The areas of discussion will include:

  • Unlocking the potential of aquatic living resources
  • Sustainably exploiting the diversity of marine life
  • Moving economic activities offshore through multi-use offshore platforms
  • Seabed mining
  • Ocean observation technologies and systems
  • Horizon 2020 and SMEs
  • Other International Funding Opportunities
  • International Cooperation
